[NOTE TO WINE IDENTIFIER- this is the Champs Claude] 2023/4/1 with Aleppo walnut and pepper meze, pan roasted beef, etc. This started off somewhat hard and shut down, with very prominent acid and some tannin. There was also noticeable brett. With an hour or two, it became more expressive aromatically (earthy fruit and a small hint of tertiary development), and fruit returned on the palate. The brett also receded significantly.
