Oh man, still so fresh it could go another 20 years. Loving northern Rhône. Smokey, mellowed tannin and red / black fruit.

2007 - $90
This wine is an extreme primal experience! Dark Ruby, cola-reduction, fur, rotting flowers, roasted meat, white pepper, bacon, smoked root vegetables, and great minerality. The tannins are backing down a bit, 9 years in. A completely engaging and epic bottle of wine!

Elegant, refined tannins. Peppered meat and blackberry - wine is definitely growing on me.
