Lacks the sharpness of many pinots. Has more of a velvety smooth feel, like Italian wines.

This still needs time but is showing a lot of potential. More structured and earthy than the entry Level E&C Spätburgunder from Fiebrich but the Eichert '15 currently does not offer the gorgeous fruit the E&C has. Retry this in 3-4 years.

Finally! A German Pinot Noir worth listening to (I live in Berlin and spent some time looking for the serious German red wine that the world is going on about, while loving Mosel whites). So here we go. Nose of violets and perfume. Some tannins. The finish is long although it seems to consist of astringency and no aromas.
