Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, herbs, spices, dark chocolates, coffee, peppercorn, vegetables, green herbs and tobacco.

This Lodi Zinfandel is always enjoyable. Well balanced and enjoyable by itself or with food. Showing mild complexity and a nice mouthfeel.
Drinking nicely now and not jammy any more, with a tangy ending.
Good right out of the bottle and better as it opens up.
I paired it with cheeses and light appetizers.

Heavy blackberry. Very bold flavors. Mocha finish.

Mar 8th, 2020I liked it, but G did not. It's a bit too dry for her sweeter taste. At the $12 price point, it's a good California Zinfandel option.

Sep 5th, 2019Lovely dark deep red. More of a savory and vegetal nose then so many fruit flavor driven Zins. Fruit and jams are there in the palate. Hints of sugar and spice and everything nice as well. Tar and creosote also comes to mind. A pretty representative example of the way OVZ outta Lodi is made. If you like those, this is right up your alley. Me, I like em well enough. No complaints.
