Good kabinett Riesling from Melsheimer family in Mosel. This vineyard tends to produce rieslings that are heavy on citrus and stone. No exception here - this wine shows pineapple, intense citrus fruit, and slate. Very good balance and acidity; well-made. I tend to prefer the spatlese from this vineyard because the extra residual sugar tends to balance the citrus and minerality a bit better; the kabinett, at times, can seem a bit austere, but still very good. 2015 vintage on Oct 10, 2018.
