Fresh cherry, raspberry and red fruit, very young, from an Italian winery that’s been making Chianti since the 1700s. This particualr vintage was a basic, easy drinker that will be much better in 5 years. Scarlet red colour, light, dusty nose. Decanted for an hour before drinking.

The oak and cherries really come together nicely on this one. Not very complex, but man it's good.

You get what you get and you can’t get upset. Ordered this bottle at a dive pizza joint. Tastes very artificial vanilla but I enjoy since it’s available

Blend of Sangiovese (85%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (15%). Bright garnet color with a ruby core. Aromas of red and black berry fruit with notes of violets. Cooked blackberry and black raspberry fruit on the palate with hints of sweet spices, dried herbs and wet soil. Medium-minus finish and body. A bit low on acidity. Reasonable for its price point. Possibly could have done with a bit of aerating. Decent enough - slightly oaky edge to it that needed air, flavours of cherry through it. Smooth enough.
