One of the most impressive wines I've had in a while!!!!
'04 in 8/20.
1st btl of red I had all summer perhaps.
Very old world feel to the aromatics. Tertiary notes are off the charts. Slightly high toned. Not plush or juicy. Warm ( not cooked) dark fruits. Impeccably integrated tannins. The word umami crossed my mind but I'll stop short of using that one here. Fascinating combo of old and new world sensations!! 60%CS, 30% Mer, 10% Ptg. Used the big Bdx Riedel and rocked Inside Out and Deftones! Stunning wine!!
