Tasted 21/08/2016

Vibrant, crisp, refreshing Cretan white made from 12yo Assyrtiko (indigenous variety) vines of Kastelos vineyard.

Yellow-greenish gold, lemon hues.
Fragrant nose of wet stones, rosemary, pineapple, oregano, white raspberry, osmanthus.
Dry, lively and fresh medium-bodied palate of fine balance. Crisp chalky minerality, excellent refreshing acidity. Scented by white grapefruit, lemon peels, pineapple, medlar, apple. Hint of salted caramel.
Mineral finish of green gooseberry, plus citrus driven acidity.
Pair: gilt-head bream baked in herbs and capers.
