Wow! Nice surprise! Really full-bodied red. Nice oak notes on a full, fruit-forward body. If tasting blind I would have thought this was a Napa cabernet. Not at all a typical Italian red blend. I'm headed back to Lidl to look for more! Great value!!!

Black currant and almond on the nose. Unidimensional but ok. The palate is well balanced with acids, a nice wide red/black fruit on the sides, some grip and some unresolved, pointy tannins. The finish is made of black currant, a bit of salt and some tertiary elements.. Good not great. Should be better in a while.
