Tons of blue and black fruit, but lacks expected alcohol on the nose while its loaded on the palate. There's some leather and very dry qualities from the high tannin and some moderate, mod+ acid to almost balance it. Definitely pepper, my other guess was semi new American oak but it definitely has some noticeable oak to it. Dried blackberries, bluer plum becoming prune.. Would be perfect for foie gras.
