Mayacamas Vineyards
Mt. Veeder Sauvignon Blanc
The LAST vintage from Mayacamas Sauv Blanc. What a shame as it's incredible. A fresh nutty nose with hit of dried pear. The taste is fresh but rich, complex but approachable. Time to find a bottle for my cellar!

Jul 30th, 2015A rare breed. Hard to find but worth it. Not unlike a young Mayacamas Chardonnay, the SB is bright and vibrant with a little weight behind it.

Jun 9th, 2015‘11 vintage in late 2022 is amazing. Fuller bodies for a SB. Big melon flavors.

Nov 25th, 2022Beautiful mineral notes, with crisp white fruits and a hint of citrus flower. Very light color with just a hint of yellow greenery. Very dry and mineral driven palate, the best that you can expect from a high elevation sav blanc.

Jul 28th, 2024Delicious and crisp, though it could def benefit from some time to take the edge off its sharp acidity. Prominent nose of lemon, lime rind, and even a little grapefruit, with just the tiniest hint of pastry like and mineral notes. Light bodied, with very light yellow/green color and a pleasant palate, with strong yellow/green citrus, and a lingering flavor of fresh lime, slight salinity, and an almost vegetal freshness to the finish. This shines as what sav blanc is capable of.
