Maximal Müller-Thurgau

Gloriously subtle and reticent nose initially but the palate is elite 1er Cru White Burgundy. Wow. Concentration, density, sap, tannin. So brilliant. Pure. More formal notes soon.

Nose starts off a little reduced. But under that is gorgeous clean fruit and minerals. Muller-Thurgau fruit is so hard to describe. Maybe kumquat? I don’t know. Pink grapefruit. Awesome wet stones and so so mineral. Like a 1er Cru white burgundy. Palate is terrific with great acids and freshness and just dazzling purity. Clean as a whistle. Juicy and engaging with a dazzling structure. Terrific sap and energy. Brilliant wine.

The maximal line is the top line. There’s also a maxmal Pinot that is off the chain. Very exited to try this and man this is benchmark Müller Thurgau. The nose is refined and so poised. Clear fruit and ethereal mineralIty. Tangerine. Kumquat. Really really refined. Stunning minerality. Just oh my god. Palate is rich, juicy and so refined with a roundness allied with really terrific acidity and it just saps on your mouth and becomes a part of you. Insane power and concentration. What depth. What fruit purity. Amazing citrus. It’s so well defined. A masterpiece.

Wow. Doesn’t have that annoying mulleryness I don’t like.

Nose is elegant. Peach pit. Terrific.

Palate is juicy. Mineral. Moderate but lovely fruit. Really good.

5 days in still good. Elegant fruit. Mineral. Juicy. So balanced. Wow. What an incredibly well made bottle of wine.
