Pale gold in color with a beautiful nose with lots of complexity.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with nice complexity.

Showing lemons, apples, pears, light earth, light honey, herbs, Indian spices and white pepper.

Long finish with roasted almonds.

This is a delicious Viognier from Piedmont. Probably my first from this region. Rich and complex. Nicely balanced with a soft mouthfeel.

Delicious right out of the bottle, and better when not too cold. Elegant and fruit forward.

Will continue to age nicely in the next few years.

Good by itself as a sipping wine.

100% Viognier grapes were aged for 6 months in new French oak barrels.

14% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

$30.

Still 100% Viognier. Bright pale yellow. Big bosomy nose and voluptuous, full-bodied palate of caramel baked quince, banana peel, magnolia flower, and peach pit. Medium minus acidity (meaning right where it should be for the variety). Long finish continues the palate as it hit. Classic European Viognier with a complex palate and enough acidity to support most heavier white wine fare. Pasta Alfredo is an excellent choice. Drink now.

This 100% Viognier is a star bright green gold. Old bananas and fresh white flowers on the abundant nose. Full bodied complex palate yields all sorts of stuff: banana, magnolia petal, underripe and overripe tropical fruits, white pepper, white peach, and on and on. Finish is medium long and doesn’t fade into that darkness typical of many white Rhône varieties. Medium minus acidity, of course. This is classic Viognier. Very varietally typical in every way. Enjoy on its own or with rich “white wine” dishes , especially cream sauces or roasts poultry. Drink now through 2022.
