Matthiasson
Yount Mill Vineyard Pinot Meunier
Half way between white and red; very dark rosé. Kool-aid. Could be the first still pure Pinot Munier I’ve ever tasted.

Mar 7th, 2020Better than I expected. Super interesting bottling from the good folks at Mathiasson. Only 11.7%. Quite light on its feet, with just a bit of fruit - more earth. Good acid. Surprisingly good pairing with a pork chop.

Oct 6th, 2024This was very thin and Beaujolais like. Transparent, bright red color; almost Rose. Bright fruit in the form of strawberries and raspberries. Earthy tones as well. No depth and finish. Off bottle or just the style of this wine?

Mar 13th, 2023Tonight I was craving a red, but dinner called for a white. This wine satisfied both criteria brilliantly.
Gorgeous translucent rubycolor. A red with more acid than most whites. Incredibly fragrant: cherry jolly rancher, pomegranate, red currant, potpourri (dried rose petals, cinnamon, allspice, cardamom), a touch of earth. Bright and tight.
Let’s make still Pinot Meunier a thing.
