Matthiasson
Lone Pine Vineyard Lagrein
Juicy, soft tannins, and earthy, savory core. Gave it a bit of decant. Nice quaff.

Nov 21st, 2018PnP. Lovely purple color with red tones. Raspberries, mint, and eucalyptus on the nose. Fruit forward but somewhat muted on the palate. Medium depth and short finish. Nice!

Oct 25th, 2024Just what I was looking for tonight! As described, a mix of Pinot and Syrah. Lovely purple color and floral nose. Nice complexity on the palate between spice, earth, and red fruit. Impressed!

Mar 18th, 2019Interesting wine but not my favorite of Matthiasson’s bottlings. A bit green / underripe. Tannins are there and the fruit comes across as slightly muted. Better on day 2.
