Greco di Tufo

Wasnt sure what to expect from this one. Green apple, tart tart tart! Lovely white. Probably awesome with fatty foods.

Looked and smelled like it was 10+ years old, fortunately there was still plenty of acid and freshness on the palate.

Is this supposed to be an orange wine? This bottle and the last both were, so not sure if they are flawed or not. This one tasted fine, but probably not how it should. Caramel, chartreuse, dark melons etc.

Nope, not enough acid, flabby flabby flabby!

Acid on the start and finish, fairly austere. Finish of lemon and acid for a good 10 long seconds. A great foil for chochinita pibil.

One of the more interesting whites out there. Nice briney quality without any malo side effects. Great effort!

I'm a sucker for all of the interesting Italian / other varietals Matthiason is doing in Napa, and this is no exception. Nearly orange in the glass, but perhaps only a slight hint of oxidation. This is a powerful white with great acid and a lemony minerally core that goes on for a long finish.

Briny and tart, oranges and honey, oxidative winemaking or no sulfur? Golden yellow color

Oranges and honey on the nose. Unlike anything I have ever tasted. And gorgeous (literally).

Deliciously fresh & lively - great acidity & snappy red fruit. Loves it with a slight chill!
