‘Certified Green’. It’s also got the extra name of ‘Red Earth’ now. So purple it’s almost looks black in the center. Interesting aromas. Hint of rocas, horehound or pennyroyal, blackberry jams. Pine cones. Flavors are dense and dry. Thick body. Chewy tannins. Has a Dutch black licorice streak too. This is what one expects in CA Petite Sirah. Meaty, heady, and hefty stuff. I tend to love this kind of thing, so it’s right in my wheelhouse, and it’s a steal of a deal.

Woodsy with a mineral oil scent. Tannins are great. Full bodied, but full of flavor. This is about as great of value as you’ll find in CA fine wine. Complex, interesting and fulfilling for under $10…

2023 was too tannic, with no fruit taste at all and with a puckery finish. Will not buy again. Sorry
