Strawberry, raspberry, cherry, cranberry, red currant, forest floor and subtle truffle. This wine was flavorful and intense! Will do well with time and aeration. So delicious!

Although the 2012 vintage weather wise was a little difficult for all producers here in the piedmont region but, some producers have been able to still come up with some really nice wines. 2011 and 2013's have a little more structure but the 2012 Massolino Serralunga d' Alba is elegant, with notes of licorice, rose and I'm detecting hints of bacon fat as well.

This was floral & elegant showing cherry, strawberry & cranberry, orange peel along with sandalwood, licorice & rose petal. Beautiful drinking entry level Barolo.
