The Howling Dog Shiraz Petite Sirah

Exceptional Australian petite sirah with a great amount of age on it. Cork came out in two pieces (I forgot my Ah-So in my luggage) Bramble fruit, light spice and diminishing tannins. This was probably better 1 year ago, but nothing was wrong with it just fading fruit. Drink up if you have a 2005!

Saperavi 76, Petite Sirah 16 and Tannat 12. Three unlikely lads rolling out of Sth Australia. It's rich, voluptuous and intense, with just the right tannin balance. Lovely work Massena in Barossa.

Petite Sirah --- No Shiraz.
Still a baby, but great with a hangar steak. Has that eucalyptus note of Barossa. Different than Cali Petite

Interesting but lacking integration. Has fruit but not concentrated enough.

Possibly refermented in bottle- spritzy and wet dog character

Still young after 11 years! Cinnamon spice,white pepper spice,eucalyptus,tobacco,leather,integrated with a nice balance of red fruits and oak,nice tannins and complexity..
