A couple of months ago I ordered a bottle of Lebanese wine at a local wine bar. After reviewing it, the owner of the winery got in contact with me. He decided to fly down to Orlando to meet with me, and brought a couple of nice bottles for us to drink.
The first one is a GSM blend that shows black and red fruits, wood, earth, vegetables, tobacco leaf, spices, wet leaves, black tea, dark coffee and peppercorn.
Dry on the palate with medium acidity.
Nice length on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
Needs 45 minutes to open up properly, and show the tannins.
A blend of 55% Grenache, 30% Mourvedre and 15% Syrah. Aged in French oak barrels for 18 months.
14.5% alcohol by volume.

Une belle robe foncée avec des reflets violets. Un nez de tapenade d'olive, de cuir, de prune avec une touche d'eucalyptus. La bouche est ronde, soyeuse et ronde. Les tanins sont collants. Très agréable. Grenache noir 40%, Syrah 30% et Mourvèdre 30%.

Jul 23rd, 2024Surprenant que ce vin libanais avec des effluves de viande fumée, de fruits noirs, d'alcool, de prune et de camphre. C'est intéressant et mystérieux. La bouche est enrobée avec des saveurs d'épices, de poivre, de cacao et de chocolat. C'est piquant et agréable.

No cinsault. Grenache Noir, syrah, and Mourvèdre; tobacco and fragrant spice on the nose. Lovely spice on the palate, with blackberry, fig and some raisins. Little alcohol on the finish, but a very delicious wine. Every wine I’ve had from this producer is quality.

If there is a reason to pop to your local wine merchants this is it. This morning I explained the flavours I enjoyed and he produced this! Super Smooth and full of dark juicy hmmm. The most exciting glass of wine I’ve enjoyed since using this app. I am looking forward to trying out more wines from this region.
