Costasera Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Corvina Blend
Turns out if you let a good vintage sit for 11 years... even THIS can be considered a great amarone. More along the subtle, well-balanced and nicely rounded style. Glad I waited.

Aug 27th, 20162006. Bought a bottle a few years after release and opened it up a little while after that. It was corked, and The Still replaced the bottle for me. I’ve let the replacement sit in the cellar until now because I was worried it might also be tainted... this bottle is so good! Pure cherry-berry fruit, velvety texture, enough tannins to pair with dinner, and no heat from the 15% abv.
