Lighter than barral. Lovely thought. Light but evident tannins. Hits all the right notes softly.

Cmon baby light my fire. I little lighter than I prefer. But good with spicy food or hard aged cheeses. I ate with spicy almonds too. Delish.

Difficult to find and not an every day wine. Mas d'Alezon Faugeres 'Monfalette' 2013 is in the border of we may consider a natural wine: very little sulphur added, biodynamic unfiltered, fermented with spontaneous yeast in concrete vessels using 'foot piegage' and neutral oak. Old -school - low intervention farming and winemaking. Gamey - earthy -clyish aromas with light body (only 12.5 abv) but showing a second layer of complexity with spicy notes. 90%Mourvedere - 10% Grenache. Welcome to the real Languedoc-Roussillon wines!!
