I REALLY enjoyed this. Bright plum flavor, followed by chocolate/cocoa powder and pencil shavings. Very drinkable. Can’t to try other Mary Taylor wines.

Palate has plum skin, ripe blackberry, black cherry essence, moist earth and dark chocolate powder.
A nice wine, at $15 one of the better red offerings from Mary Taylor.

P: Surprisingly crisp, black fruits and leather, like blackberries smushed on a saddle, cassis. Less acidity than I like.
A nice pairing with cheeses.
Interesting negotiant, some of her wines really shine.

Jan 9th, 2023Usually not a huge Malbec fan but this one is nice lightly chilled. Red fruit, tannins, a bit of that Malbec finish but not too much. Dusty. French.
