Candied orange, marmalade, raisins, a touch of acetone but that's to be expected from a 1963.

The fruit is still superb even if the wine has gone from dark red to a lavender color now. This is amazing.

Fresh cherry palate with long finish. Elegant and composed. Light and delicate. Remarkably youthful and fresh for its age, Seems younger than 1922. Some heat on finish

Fully Mature, Misses balance. Tanins fully resolved, Raisins, slightly unpleasant bitterness and heat at finish. Looks like my bottle was over the hill. Drink now if you have any.
