Pop and pour. A marvelous medium golden straw color. On the nose: big vanilla oak, some lemon, honey, floral. Taste: A rich, creamy medium to full body wine with vanilla oak, lemon, grapefruit, more vanilla oak, pear...lacks a degree of refinement.....butter anyone?

Was impressed by this chard at the winery and continue to be impressed. This wine pours a lighter straw color into the glass. Nose of stone ground fruit mostly, lemon, grapefruit. The entry of the wine has a rather soft mouthfeel. Dominant note is lemon curd and some butter, but I didn't pick it up in quite the depth that a few reviewers have. Lots of citrus fruit here. Goes to stone ground fruit in the middle where the fruit kind of rounds to a melon and mango. Finish is rather acidic, and rather long. Lots of notes on the tongue and goes for 30 seconds at least. WELL MADE CHARD, and dare I say that this one would have improved with an hour decant!
