Who says California Chardonnay's can't age...confederate jasmine and honeysuckle on the nose. Lots of finesse and definition. Touch of roasted chestnuts and a floral finish that lingers. In its prime, drink now!

Great wine if your preference is big bold California Chardonnay - lots of butter and oak, very rich and supple. Aged nicely, would probably hang on another couple of years but probably near its prime now.

Man, this one gave the younger Aubert Ritchie a run for its money. This is drinking perfectly at this point. Lots of herbs and yellow peach on the front with probably less acidity than it had a few years ago. Very rounded and full bodied mouthfeel. A little bit of kiwi and pear. Toward the finish, this one still showed a tiny bit of astringency. With the right aging, I think this one still has another three to five years and it without a doubt. Definitely not over the hill, although I would say this one is really close to peak.

Classic RRV Chard served for Thanksgiving 2019. Nose of herbs and butter. Entry of honeysuckle, mango, wildflowers. Middle gains a limestone grit. Finishes with brighter acidity than I would have expected given that the entry of this wine is quite a bit more rounded than I expected it to be. Hint of walnut. Very balanced. These wines are built for an extremely long haul, 1 to 2 decades. Drink or hold.
