Martin Ray Vineyards & Winery
Diamond Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon

Better than the last bottle I had. Think age helps this but it continues to be a “limited” cab. Nose provides an array of dark berries, some leather, and even hints of bbq. The mid palate and beyond still feels a bit weak and lagging the complexity of the nose - almost a bit watery. Tannins are medium and definitely mellowing. Have to give a shout out to Mark Thomas glasses - the best and bring out so many more flavors!

Getting better with age. . . Still not an overly complex cab but much more blended tannins that provide a smoothness that covers up the limited flavors. Still have some bottles and look forward to seeing how this is in future years.

Tight. Stringent. Waiting to mellow. I think this will be a very good bottle in a few years but this seems just too early for all of the greatness to get out of the bottle. Which is why I have several more and will keep on the rack.
