This is the Krover Kirchlay Spatlese ** - (it’s sweet and not Trocken)
Gorgeous aromas. Honeysuckle, ripe pear, slate and so so mineral. Smells like fresh rain in the glass. Peaches and apricots as well. Palate is rich, ripe and sweet with terrific acidity and a lovely compact feel and fleshy peachy pithy fruit on the finish. Lovely purity and freshness. So so complex. Terrific energy laps up some of the sweetness but this is a pretty sweet Spatlese despite its neck breaking freshness and minerality. Lovely wine. Long.

Wonderful wine again. Ripe tangelo and apricot on the nose. Citrus oil as well. Also an aroma of foie/savory. Sweet and viscous, with decadent richness yet bracing and cleansing acidity and a lovely sense of compactness and elegance. Great. Ages to go.

Didn't realize this was a ** spatlese until I took a closer look. Young and lovely - lightly honeyed on nose and far moreso on palate. This has mouthwatering acidity to just barely balance the sweetness.
