A generous gift from a friend of a friend. The nose is heavy with caramel and some dill in the background. On palate, there's nice fruit but also a bitter note on the mid-palate that builds on the finish. I wanted to like this more, but the oak treatment (20 months, acc. to the label) is just too heavy handed. I hope Aaron Pott takes a more balanced approach with this estate.
