Jan 10th, 2021Not much of this variety produced outside of Sicily. Very well done and showed well with pasta.

May 13th, 2020Beautiful nose of black cherries, red apple skin, some plum, red berries, pine, cedar, turned earth, cloves. Very Sicilian!
On the palate, fresh, tart black cherry and red berries, fresh alpine vibes, pine, high acidity, medium chalky tannins.
Palate almost reminds me of a Barbera. Nonetheless, a beautiful Nero from the queen of Nero!🙌🏼

Beautiful dark ruby color in the glass
Very italian nose (true to the varietal) Nose of cherries, ripe plum, licorice, turned earth, pepper, violet (as it opened up)
On the palate: dry, medium tannins, ripe cherries, soil, anise, peppery finish, fresh acidity keeps it lively.
Overall: Amazing wine from MS, she's crushing the Nero d'avola game in Cali. New world fruit with an old world feel. Went amazing with spaghetti bolognese. Bon Appetit!
