Alger Vineyards Syrah
I have a soft spot for this family-owned producer from Little known AVA in Tahama County, Northern California. Fine tannins, all fruit at this point-pleasant to drink and of course reasonably priced. 100% Petite Sirah from a low-yielding, higher altitude vineyard @ 2500 feet on the west slopes of Mount Lassen, the southernmost volcano in the Cascade mountains range. 14.4% abv
