Almost a Burgundian nose with red florals. Rich, thicker dark and red fruit entry. The red fruit recessed to the back palate. Red cherries come on strong on the long finish. Soft & well intergraded tannins, some black wet earth, soft leather and a dry finish. Needs some more time in bottle but will develop into a really nice wine. Then, maybe add two tenths of a point to my score.

After trying to track this wine down for awhile I finally got my hands on it. And was disappointed, the oak is very heavy and made for a disjointed wine

Had the 2011 vintage at a top steakhouse and it was outstanding with the right balance of acidity and fruit. Delightful and confident on the nose with just the right amount of fruity sweetness to highlight the earth and mineral notes. The back end leaves you looking forward to the next sip.
