Wehlener Klosterberg Spätlese Riesling

Green Cap. Gorgeous nose of tiny green tomatoes, but in the very best way, slate, ripe orange melon, some spice and wild mint, slate and pulverized rock dust. So nuanced and clear. Palate is rich and ripe and has just enough sweetness to add an extra dimension of texture. Juicy, stimulating, salty and incisive and has astonishing purity and depth. Green fruits and some melon in the palate and great length, balance and poise. Great acids and such wonderful tension between the acid, sugar, minerals and fruit. Wonderful length on the finish. Really lingers. Crazy value here. This became so much more complete on day 2. So tasty, textured and fresh. Just an astonishing wine. 9.5 to 9.6.

Razor intense and like a foal as it finds its legs: all kinds of white fruit pit, grapefruit pith, & white grapes on nose; more of those notes on palate & more white blossoms. Really delish & juicy, though has a very dry channel which I find exhilarating.

Overripe, macerated fruit nose. Fruit is thin and watery. Fruit starts juicy and the fades.

7.5% alcohol. Sweet but well balanced with mouth watering acidity.

Really nice acid and pretty aromatics. Lots if honey, peach, apricots and cream. Enough acidity to keep it clean.

Great acid and a god amount of sweetness. Nice honey notes as well as the classic petrol.

Who said you can't age Riesling? Sweet apple, white roses, lemon, honey - gorgeous wine!

Aprikos, vita blommor och glycerin på nosen. Mer stenfrukt åt persiko- och aprikoshållet i munnen. Bra skärpa i finishen med skarp syra som matchas av sådana där smarriga platta godisar med aprikossmak.

Off dry

Very good. Sweeter than I expected. I was told it was on the driest end of off dry. I found it rather sweet for that description. Still delicious.
