The color is a dense ruby red. After some swirling to calm down the ethanol fumes, it reveals aromas of big and sticky cassis, plum and lots of spearmint. There's also aromas of exotic spices and tea. Great nose. Medium bodied with low acidity, soft tannin and an airy mouthfeel. Flavors of plum, cassis, vanilla cola, and a flavor that tastes like you can only get it from some kind of root. It finishes with plum and very hot. I'd suggest aging it a year or two more.
