Nov 8th, 2020Nutty nose - hazelnuts? Meyer Lemon & orange zest. 50/50 Marsanne and Roussanne from a tiny appellation in the Northern Rhône. Could be mistaken for a Chardonnay from CA in a blind tasting if there wasn’t the white pepper bite as the wine warms up. Hint of Almonds. Very well made. Still available at CUCINA enoteca Del Mar, CA 49$: But they not surprisingly bought out the Importer and took the wine of the market. Great stuff.
