Classic, masculine expression of Nebbiolo from La Morra. 2013 is surprisingly approachable but has superb cellar potential as one would expect. We decided not to decant to get a pure experience of this young wine and it was the ideal complement to braised beef in hearty red sauce over polenta. Fresh parsley showed a fun interplay with the lingering mint and creosote element of the young wine. Superb concentration, dense fruit core and amazingly persistent finish. This will open up well in the next 3-5 years. Outstanding!

Showing really well a young Barolo. Generous, open knit, and expressing some nice concentration on the nose and palate. Bricco delle Viole’s high elevation shines through with the wins sweet cherry fruit and lifted floral notes, and fresh and lively acid profile. Also a more spice-driven side of Nebbiolo here.
