Great Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, especially after the hour long bottle aeration. The hue is a burnt red. Lots of ripe raspberry on the nose followed by leathery scents. On the pallet it is smooth with “automatic” transitions: red fruit welcoming, outburst of earthiness, the right pinch of acidity, composed tannings and a savory finish. Might be the second glass of the night taking but this is tasting very good.
