The 2019 Román is a blend of Zinfandel, with dollops of Petite Sirah and Barbera, varieties I don't think I have ever seen together before. A whole range of floral, savory and earthy notes lend complexity to this bold, flavorful red. This is another wine in the range that offers superb value. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, September 2021)

Marietta’s 2016 Román is a tasty Zinfandel-based blend with dollops of Petite Sirah and Barbera. Succulent cherry, plum, spice and leather are all propped up by bright acids in a juicy, forward red that delivers superb quality for the money. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, April 2018)

Smooth tannins and strong mouthfeel - really enjoyed the depth of flavor with layered baking spices

Cherry leather, rooibos, peach, allspice & cinnamon. Bold enough to enjoy with taco salad. One of my absolute favorite wines.

Excellent!!!! Nice aroma of black cherries and plum with a great spice note and perhaps leather. High acid and smooth. Great at this price point!!!!

Fragrant with spice/floral, very earthy and smokey in a delicate way. Alcohol hits hard after that. Tried in a pinot noir glass, riesling glass and cabernet glass: was happy with them all in different ways, but kept going to the cabernet glass. As it sits, there is a bitterness that develops which is not my favorite. After a couple days, has a dried fruit aspect
