What to pair with a red and golden beet and fennel bulb salad? What about a New Zealand Pinot know for the down deep in the dirt Pinots? The anise and earthy notes in the salad complemented the wine well. Just a great wine that evolved as we drank it into an intriguing complex minerally wine with great depth. Love those New Zealand Pinots!!

Picked this up on a trip to martin borough. 2007 consumed in 2018. Impressive fruit still remains. Black cherry in particular but now well blended and subdued. Excellent balance. Wish I had bought more back from New Zealand. Had with pork tenderloin and wild mushroom sauce. Great complement

This is just too good. Supple, perfectly ripe fruit with just enough of the Asian spices, sea salt and jasmine tea notes to make it a superb New Zealand Pinot. The kind of bottle that never lasts the night.
