Deep berry red. Earthy, plummy aromas of deep red fruits and ripe, dusty blackberry, with a mineral or saline top note. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, with red berry fruit flavors and smooth tannins. The acidity is refreshing, but there are deep undercurrents, too, plus a bloom of bright raspberry on the finish. Nice complexity for an inexpensive Barbera d'Alba. 14% abv | $17 (Vermont)

Better than expected! Short decant, because the rubber cork was stuck to the bottle and cracked the glass when removing. Something I’ve never seen before! Ruby color. Past prime by a few years. Flavors of tea and cranberries with ample tannins. Medium minus finish.

Below average unfortunately. Doesn’t seem like these bottles age well at all. Wasn’t flawed, but very tart and lacked depth. Fruit was present, but needed more oak or something. I’ll keep trying as we love the brand.

Very nice Barbera, from one of my favorite vineyards! Much better than my painting skills at Painting with a Twist with part of my team. Fun night!

color is good, rustyburgundy, dark almost brown. nice nose, fruit. first impression is nice soft lush, savory berries which segways into some toasty, hazelnut flavors. weight is medium (6/10) with a decent linger. decanted for 2 hours before drinking, may have needed more. this could lay down for a couple more years. had it with Spaghetti
