Soft nose with subtle spice notes. Classic Barbera with nice cherry and strawberry fruit, palate gets smothered, but with a slightly higher than average OH profile. Finish is fairly short, but this is the best bottle I have had since we had it in Rome and served it at our Wedding!!

I hate scoring our Wedding wine this low, but we were rookies way back then! Nose that is nice but leads to believe the 13.5% OH is too low. Wine is very fruit forward in the form of plums and prunes, but probably because the wine is past it's prime. Rather tart finish, but overall not terrible. 16 bottles and perpetual memories remain!!
