Marcel Giraudon
Bourgogne Aligoté
Burgundy’s other white grape. Goes through malolactic fermentation which adds lovely depth to the mid-pallet. Aromas and flavors of ripe melon, pears and honey. Hint of unripe peach and lemon. Nice acidity and touch of saline. Creamy texture. Finish is a bit short but it is nice and tangy. Nice option to chill and drink on a hot summer day.

Mar 20th, 2022Has to be the perfect temperature to drink, otherwise it's disappointing and even then it's decent, not great!

Jul 5th, 2015Tart, crisp, citrus, a little minerality on the finish, nicely dry for me, refreshing on a hot day, not much bouquet initially but more after it's been open a bit. I think there is some light pear which I always like. This probably sounds silly, but it seems to have what I would call some light energy to it. It is a pretty straw color with a little more yellow but not too much. It is a good value as well.
