Still a nice wine, but weaker than the Gauer. Drink up.

At the end of its life but of great historical interest. Fruit has been displaced but still interesting

Rich, with Burgundian character. Good acid structure holds it together. Opulent.

Another bottle, showing gracefully well, but more mature than the last, and needing to be consumed. Still soft and elegant.

1st year for Marcassin. What a treat. Toasted popcorn and flinty acidity and some fleeting fruit. Neat older example of Cali chard.

Toast, petrol on the nose. Crystal clear. Good acidity. Citrus. 45 second butterscotch finish. How is this 21 years old? As good as Chardonnay can be, period!

Sweet. Quite pretty. No noticeable oak. White flowers. Not hugely long but surprisingly subtle.
