Marc Sorrel
Les Rocoules Hermitage White Rhone Blend
Fantastic marsanne - typical golden color, complex palate of candied orange, honey and petrol with a long finish. Excellent wine for a Saturday quarantine picnic.

May 2nd, 20202010 vintage. At Hinds Head pub in Bray. Rare and rewarding wine. Pale golden hue. Heady, honeyed and floral, with definite white stone fruit aromas, and a strip of chalky minerality. Fairly complex. On the palate, high alcohol - maybe slightly too much - silky textured full bodied and medium acidity. Full concentration of flavour. Medium plus finish. Really enjoyable albeit not something I would want to drink on a daily basis. Drink now until 2026+. Tip: serve on the cooler side to counter balance the richness and full body of the wine.
