Wow so 2014 “Man of War” this New Zealand take on a right bank Bordeaux blend - awkward green olive bell pepper aromas were too much for me ended with oak that was disjointed - Love what New Zealand can do just not a fan of this wine

Great violet notes on the nose, delicate red fruit on the palate, finishes with some savory black olive brine, graphite and green bell pepper. A little surprised with how well integrated the alcohol is at 14.6%. Silky tannins make it an easy drinker.
Pretty much just an accessible fuller right bank Bordeaux style that isn't so over powering that a glass doesn't go down well on its own. I drank this while playing Settlers of Catan and you better believe I won.
