Semler Saddlerock-Malibu Cabernet Sauvignon

No. Bueno.
We poured it out. Which I almost never do.
The vineyard was storing their wine without climate control on a 90+ degree day.
Malibu = great place to visit. Not the best place to buy wine.

Had this at Malibu cafe, just down the road from the vineyard. Was delicious just to sip.

Overly oak without the Cabernet to back it up- bummer poured it out

Heavy smoke and cedar overtones and finishes smoothly. A fantastic mid-body red.

Good color, strong flavor great tanins.

Light cab with a hint of sweetness in the finish

Had a great time at their " wine Safari", but the 2010 Cab sold on premises was way overpriced @ $40 bucks..... Save your money !

Deep ruby color. Pure ripe berry fruit on the nose. Currant. Hints of oak Simple and not very complex. Tart cherry, on the palate, it has good acid and is bright and fresh. The lack of "size and jaminess" is appreciated in this wine. It's subtle, but nice and drinkable.

Needs time to breathe.
