This American, Oregonian reisling really won me over. It was a gift so I didn't know what to expect but I haven't met many American reisling that could stand up to their German ancestors but this one is absolutely lovely.
Acid to sweetness nicely balanced, all the right notes plus subtleties from a small percentage of gewürtztraminer and pinot blanc added into the mix.

According to their website, “The 2017 Bottoms Up is predominantly Riesling with equal parts Muller Thurgau, Pinot Blanc and Gewurztraminer playing a small supporting role.” When I opened this before dinner, I thought it was a little too sweet, but it was awesome with a Cajun seafood boil. With the right food, I think this one is an excellent value and a lot of fun.
