I have not had many Morey St. Denis wines and this one was not a disappointment at the price point. Clouded by Ray Walkers (in)famous legacy, the wine was nothing but truly burgundian in all its classic ways and literally cloudy in the glass (though no flaws). Beautiful nose with cherries, red currant, roses and forest floor aromas coming through. Very aromatic with a multi layered super long finish. Complex and well integrated wine that had the tannic backbone yet the delicate fluttery mouthfeel.

Jan 31st, 2021Some absurd ratings out there for this nice but decidedly middle of the road Burg. Light for the vintage. A dark translucent salmon (I've seen some darker roses). Nose of cranberry and orange peel with a little briar and a light touch of spice but not really perfumed. Lithe finish with ample acidity and fine tannins. If pressed I would guess village level Vosne.
