On the nose: berries and bruised apple. Cinnamon. Bitter chocolate, ripe cherry. Mouthfeel: remarkable balance. Medium body (I’d even go medium-) with great structure. Hit with raspberry but rest of the fruit follows. Tannin level is perfect to round off a great sip. Good on its own or paired with red meats and light sauces. Also great with chocolate desserts. Great vintage. Wow!
