Maison B. Perraud
Fleurie Gamay
Needs time or a decanting but I think Perraud's wines have serious potential. Can't wait to revisit them down the road.

Aug 26th, 2015Perhaps my favorite Perraud yet. Hits all the right “thinking wine” buttons – no mucking around in the winery, minimal sulfur addion, great care taken in the vineyards, blah blah blah. And quite delicious. Best with a slight chill and can go for days without losing its tastiness. Dark berry fruits, mulberry skins, underlying minerality and texture that manages to be a touch silky and crunchy all at once. (‘Crunchy??’ Yes, crunchy. Think of that snap of freshness when you bite into an apple. That’s crunchy.)
